Kathleen Lang is the president of the Northern Lights Aero Foundation (NLAF), which aims to attract and inspire women to succeed in careers in aviation and aerospace. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

Lang earned her commercial multi-engine pilot licence and instrument rating in 1980, and went on to fly throughout North America for various individuals and corporations. She gave up flying in 1988 to work in aircraft sales, marketing, programs, and contracts for Bombardier and MHIRJ until retiring in 2022. Today, Lang dedicates much of her time to the NLAF.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Skies<\/strong>: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role as president of the Northern Lights Aero Foundation (NLAF\/Northern Lights).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kathleen Lang<\/strong>: I joined the foundation at the invitation of Anna Pangrazzi, who is one of the founders. I\u2019ve known Anna for 40 years; we worked together a long time ago when I was flying and had an aircraft brokerage. She invited me to become a board member for Northern Lights about 12 years ago, which I did as a director for about nine years, and when the past president moved to the U.S., the board elected me as president.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I flew corporate aircraft and sold general aviation aircraft for the first eight years of my career, after which I went to work … <\/p>\n\n\n\n
