Sealand Flight Ltd., a pioneering flight training unit based in Campbell River, B.C., said it is set to become the first flight school in British Columbia to acquire a fully electric airplane for training purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This groundbreaking initiative, approved and collaborated with Transport Canada, hallmarks a significant founding stride in sustainable aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The state-of-the-art, Pipistrel Velis Electro aircraft, scheduled to arrive late January, will commence flight operations at the Campbell River Airport in February. Being fully electric, it brings the ability of zero emissions flight with an ultra-quiet noise impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This acquisition not only positions Sealand Flight as a leader in innovative flight training in Canada, but also aligns with broader environmental goals to reduce the carbon footprint in aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
